Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver educational sessions on risk management principles and practices to a diverse audience, primarily management
  • Helps facilitate the annual risk assessment process
  • Solicit, record and track enterprise risk management data; maintain board and executive level dashboards
  • Prepare high quality presentation materials for senior leadership and board committee meetings
  • Support risk owners in understanding and assessing and analyzing risks and developing leading key risk indicators.
  • Includes developing risk statements and other tools that help risk owners to understand the variety of business risks and risk outcomes in a practical way
  • Facilitate and support cross functional risk workshops (interview or facilitate group discussions with key stakeholders, identify key risks, analyze interdependencies and relationships, etc.)
  • Monitor emerging trends and support risk-sensing initiatives, including blind spot workshops
  • Perform other duties as required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’ s degree in business related discipline Six Sigma certification(s)
  • Experience in Banking and Financial Services in an enterprise risk management role highly preferred
  • Due diligence for new or modified products or services related to risk management
  • Experience with Governance, Risk and Compliance software
  • Lean concepts, business process improvement, operational excellence or six sigma

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Banking and Financial Services industry regulatory environment as it applies to risk management
  • Familiar with Governance, Risk and Compliance software

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):
  • Four-year degree in business related discipline (Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.)
  • Experience: Five years of business experience that included a minimum of two years of experience in any combination of the following: internal or external audit, enterprise risk management, operational excellence, risk advisory at a consulting firm, or public accounting
  • Demonstrated experience creating and delivering formal presentations and training

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Highly proficient in Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management concepts
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail; demonstrated project management skills and ability to prioritize assignments and multi-task within restricted time constraints
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision on unstructured assignments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues under tight time frames
  • Drive for results and ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally across the organization
