Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Bench Pharmacist to join our team in Narragansett. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive drug screening, processing, and dispensing services in various drug distribution systems. Strong management skills and attention to detail are essential to ensure that our customers receive the appropriate pharmaceutical products safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and emergency drug screening and dispensing services.
- Ensure operational excellence by meeting or exceeding site budgets and leveraging policies and procedures.
- Optimize cost management in line with script counts.
- Serve as primary owner for Band III accounts and facility owner for Band I and II accounts.
- Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to drive organic growth and mitigate risks.
- Negotiate and finalize customer contracts with regional leadership.
- Evaluate overall operations and systematically report results to the General Manager (GM) or Vice President of Operations (VPO).
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing pharmacy operations.
- Maintain the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient information.
- Understand and implement Customer Pharmacy Services policies and procedures.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to employees.
- Develop employees to reach their full potential and recognize accomplishments.
- Foster a challenging environment that promotes career growth and succession planning.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day.
- May require sitting or standing for 7 to 10 hours per day.
- Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing.
- Proficiency in clinical interpretation of drug interactions and allergies.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to perform accurately and efficiently when dispensing medications.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations (OBRA, OSHA, state laws, and other federal laws) affecting pharmacy and center operations.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
- Must be available during pharmacy hours of operation.
This is an in-person, patient-facing role. Onsite presence is required as needed.
