Job Description:
The Coordinator III - Care Management Associate will manage sensitive and confidential information while performing case review, confirming eligibility, creating authorizations, and supporting concurrent review nurses. Responsibilities also include accurate documentation, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and assisting with discharges, notifications, and authorizations.
Coordinator III - Care Management Associate Schedule & Location:
- Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (3 weeks, no absences allowed).
- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite on the first day to pick up equipment; remote work with the potential for future onsite requirements).
Coordinator III - Care Management Associate Salary/Wage:
- Pay Rate (PR): $18.34/hour.
Coordinator III - Care Management Associate Duties:
- Perform initial case reviews, confirm eligibility, and create authorizations within 24 hours of notification.
- Accurately document calls and actions in the electronic record while meeting compliance standards.
- Assist concurrent review nurses with enrollment, provider inquiries, and discharge planning.
- Research and file Certification of Needs (CON) and Recertification of Needs (RON).
- Label and assign faxed medical records to the appropriate clinician and manage ASAM scores.
- Exhibit critical thinking, detail orientation, and empathy when addressing member needs.
Coordinator III - Care Management Associate Required Qualifications:

Top Skills:
- Proficiency in keyboarding and typing (minimum of 45 WPM with 6500 alphanumeric key strokes).
- Customer service experience.
- Discharge planning expertise.
- Basic medical terminology knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

Experience Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- 2+ years of professional experience (preferably in customer service, telemarketing, or sales).
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours (up to 9:00 PM EST).

Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
