Pay Rate: $74.87/hour
Position Overview
Nurse Practitioners work collaboratively with a dedicated clinical care team to provide evidence-based primary and family care to a panel of patients. This role includes accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health conditions, health counseling, and disposition planning. The Nurse Practitioner will report to the Practice Manager and play a key role in driving positive health outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide primary and family evidence-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health conditions, health counseling, and disposition planning
- Perform administrative duties, including opening and closing the clinic, inventory management, patient follow-up, insurance verification, payment collection, and maintaining a clean clinical environment
- Handle patient appointments and perform routine examinations to support positive patient health outcomes
- Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care
- Complete diagnostic tests to support diagnosis and treatment of injuries or illnesses
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive plans of care
- Encourage patient engagement in healthcare and wellness through health screenings, behavioral health services, chronic condition management, and wellness initiatives
Schedule & Work Details
- Varied weekdays (Monday–Friday)
- Required to work every other weekend
- Possible holiday rotations
- Orientation/training: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM for 3 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
- Current National Board Certification
- Active state license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the state of employment
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (copy required upon offer acceptance)
- Application for DEA registration required at time of offer acceptance (unless otherwise noted)
- Nurse Practitioner Candidate Questionnaire must be included on the resume
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a family medicine or primary care setting
- If not met, successful completion of the Primary Care Training Program is required
- Working knowledge of quality measurement in the management of chronic disease conditions
- Strong initiative, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and practice autonomously without direct supervision
- Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with information management systems and healthcare technology
- Ability to work remotely as part of a clinical care team culture
- Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure
- Ability to collaborate frequently with professional colleagues to ensure quality patient care
