Pharmacist Compensation
• The pay for this position is $62.85
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Pharmacist Highlights
• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability is Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM with a one-hour lunch and Saturday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pharmacist Responsibilities
• Execute daily pharmacy operations in accordance with workflow, production quotas, and regulatory deadlines
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy practice regulations and DEA policies
• Supervise production staff to maintain timely order entry, secure workflow, and delivery adherence
• Perform quality checks on prescription labels, packaging, and drug orders
• Conduct prospective drug utilization reviews to evaluate therapy appropriateness, identify high-risk medications, interactions, and potential adverse effects
• Maintain knowledge of drug storage, stability, and administration guidelines
• Oversee preparation of sterile IV medications and maintain required documentation
• Manage controlled substance inventory and emergency kit distribution
• Participate in on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Clear workflow grid daily and comply with HIPAA and all applicable reporting protocols
• Support recall surveillance, medication occurrence reporting, and pharmacy communication
Pharmacist Requirements
• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited school of pharmacy
• Current pharmacy license in good standing
• 1–3 years of pharmacy experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years of long-term care pharmacy experience
• Immunization certified or willingness to obtain certification
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Capable of interpreting complex medical topics and regulations
• Familiarity with long-term care pharmacy guidelines and compliance requirements (USP 797/795, SOX, DEA, HIPAA, etc.)
Physical Demands & Work Environment
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods
• May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Visual acuity for reading labels and fine print, ability to distinguish color, and hear normal voice ranges
• Work is performed in a climate-controlled, smoke-free indoor environment
