Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care
12-Week Contract Opportunity
Location: Hendersonville, NC 28792
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch: 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract Duration: 12 Weeks
Pay Rate: $74.87/hr
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Position Overview
A-Line Staffing is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a 12-week contract opportunity in Hendersonville, NC. This is a patient-facing role focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based primary care services while collaborating with a dedicated clinical care team.

Candidates must have recent primary care, family medicine, or urgent care Nurse Practitioner experience. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare services including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, chronic disease management, health counseling, and care coordination while practicing independently within a collaborative care model.
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based primary and family care, including:
    • Patient assessments and evaluations
    • Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
    • Management of health problems and ongoing care plans
    • Health counseling and patient education
    • Disposition planning and follow-up care
  • Perform routine examinations and preventive health screenings to support positive patient outcomes
  • Complete diagnostic testing to assist in diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses
  • Manage chronic conditions while supporting quality care initiatives
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices, preventive care, and wellness strategies
  • Encourage patients to actively participate in their healthcare through:
    • Health screenings
    • Behavioral health and wellness services
    • Chronic condition management
  • Coordinate care with healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive treatment plans
  • Manage patient appointments and ensure efficient patient flow
  • Complete clinical documentation and utilize electronic medical systems effectively
  • Perform administrative clinic responsibilities, including:
    • Opening and closing clinic procedures
    • Inventory management
    • Patient follow-up
    • Insurance verification and payment collection
    • Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Required Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
  • Active NP/APRN license in good standing with no current or prior disciplinary actions
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care
  • Strong understanding of quality measures related to chronic disease management
  • Ability to practice autonomously while collaborating with a clinical care team
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability
  • Proficiency with electronic medical systems and healthcare technology
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licensure if required
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Required Documentation
Candidates must provide:
  • Screenshot of active BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association required)
  • Screenshot of active Nurse Practitioner license
Additional Requirements
  • DEA registration may be required during onboarding
  • This is a safety-sensitive, patient-facing position
  • High School Diploma/GED verification required
  • Must be available to work three out of every six weekends, with possible holiday rotations
  • Onsite clinic support required as needed
