Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner — San Antonio, TX
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work setting: On-site
Pay: $74.87/hour (W2)
Schedule: Clinic hours, includes every other weekend; possible holiday rotation. On-call rotation may be required.
Position Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to provide evidence-based care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and chronic condition management. You’ll work collaboratively with a clinical care team to drive strong outcomes for patients.

Position Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to provide evidence-based care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and chronic condition management. You’ll work collaboratively with a clinical care team to drive strong outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based urgent/primary care: assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patient health concerns
- Perform routine examinations and support positive patient outcomes
- Deliver services such as health screenings, wellness support, and chronic condition management
- Complete clinic administrative tasks (opening/closing, inventory, patient follow-up, insurance verification, payment collection, maintaining a clean environment)
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive plans of care
- Educate and counsel patients on healthy lifestyle choices
- Prior primary care or urgent care experience (minimum 1 year recent experience required)
- Master’s-level Family Nurse Practitioner program completion
- Current National Board Certification
- Active Texas NP/APRN license (in good standing)
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC)
- DEA registration may be required during onboarding
- This is a patient-facing role
- Safety-sensitive position
