Job Description
Title: Programmer Analyst IV
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid: 2-days onsite, 3-days remote)
Note: This is a W2 contract role – C2C, 1099, & 3 rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered
This position functions as an experienced Programmer / Analyst within a team of technology professionals. The Programmer / Analyst is responsible for the complete range of information system analyst assignments, including the design, development, quality assurance testing, change management activities, and on-going enhancements and documentation of the technical architecture, application software, databases, interdependencies, and security, as well as new development. Working closely with Project Management, the Programmer / Analyst will provide advice when needed to ensure project quality, milestones, and deadlines are met.
Position Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a .NET Developer
- 3+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum project teams, withstrong knowledge of Project Management Methodology (PMM) and Agile principles
- Strongknowledge and proven skills in MVC, C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET, XML, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, MVC, AngularJS, Angular, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, Git, MS Azure, Transact SQL (T-SQL), MS Visual Studio, and MS Office Suite programs
- Knowledge of the fundamental concepts and operating principles of data communications and data processing hardware and software
- Knowledge of computer programming, data modeling, and object-oriented programming procedures and techniques, including application development environments and related tools
- Ability to prepare detailed written instructions and documentation, and analyze instructions and data
- Ability to convert specifications to computer language
- Ability to gather and analyze facts, define problems, and devise solutions, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve development problems, calmly and rationally assessing situations
- Ability to use programming procedures and techniques in the implementation of computer programs
- Ability to effectively make oral and written reports and presentations and prepare clear and concise graphs and charts, including communicating technical terminology at a level appropriate to the audience
- Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and conduct correspondence related to the work
- Ability to provide quality customer service, build trust through integrity of work, and build and maintain strategic relationships with system users through effective teamwork
- Ability to effectively work with a software development team, make decisions related to assigned tasks, analyze business requirements, create design specifications, and construct and test computer systems
- Experience working in a State or Federal government organization preferred
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant field
