Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Product Owner to guide the discovery, development, and delivery of AI and Generative AI solutions within a regulated, enterprise environment. This role bridges business strategy, data science, and engineering, ensuring AI initiatives deliver measurable business value from experimentation through production.
The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, excellent product or project management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify, define, and prioritize AI and Generative AI use cases.
- Guide lines of business on how to experiment with, integrate, and measure AI solutions.
- Collaborate closely with data science, engineering, data governance, and product teams to move AI initiatives into production.
- Gather, document, and manage business requirements, system requirements, analytics needs, and UAT.
- Break down complex, ambiguous problems into well-defined use cases and roadmaps.
- Define KPIs and success metrics to evaluate AI performance and business impact.
- Support the full product lifecycle, including launch, iteration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor user feedback, KPIs, and market trends to refine product strategy.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to AI solutions, including data, ethics, and compliance considerations.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of AI concepts, including:
- Machine learning
- Generative AI
- Data science fundamentals
- Model lifecycle management
- Experience with product or project management, preferably in Agile environments.
- Familiarity with cloud AI platforms, particularly Azure and Bedrock.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with:
- Data scientists
- Engineers
- Business and executive stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred / Desired Skills
- Understanding of data science practices and methodologies for measuring AI use cases.
- Awareness of data ethics, responsible AI, and risk management.
- Familiarity with software development practices, version control, and deployment strategies.
- Experience supporting or defining AI strategies for business units.
- Consulting experience within product or project management.
- Background in financial services or a related regulated industry.
