Position Title: Senior Healthcare Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting
Location: HYBRID OPTIONS AVAILABLE - Hiring Manager preferring a LOCAL candidate to occasionally come in-office. (Office: Grand Blanc, MI 48439)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Hours: 8 hours per day, 80 hours per pay period
Shift Type: Day Shift
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire (NO temp/contract work)
Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 annually (based on education and experience)

Position Summary: Specifically looking for Proforma and Cost Accounting experience.
The Senior Financial Decision Support Analyst provides corporate financial and statistical analysis to assess the financial and operational impacts of management decisions and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide analytical operations support using a variety of data sources. Analyze and interpret data to provide information for management decisions.

• Analyze data to identify areas of opportunity, develop proposals and strategies for program development and revisions to existing programs.

• Identify cost control and cost management issues and recommend actions to resolve.

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of a variety of strategic and operational studies and analyses to improve system performance and make recommendations for operational improvements.

• Responsible for maintaining reporting data integrity by verifying accuracy of data.

• Provide assistance and support in implementing new systems.

• Must be comfortable working with large sets of data.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (required)

• Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare finance or financial analysis, including work with hospital clinical, claims, and financial data, large databases, and data extraction using tools such as Access and Excel (required)

• OR a minimum of ten years of experience with similar scope if a bachelor’s degree is not held (required)

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration (preferred)

• At least one year of experience with healthcare contract management or reimbursement systems, and knowledge of reimbursement methodologies (preferred)

• Experience with Tableau (strongly preferred)

• Experience with SQL (strongly preferred)

• Cost accounting experience, including Proforma analysis (strongly preferred)
