Job Description
Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
Location: Louisville, KY (Position is remote but candidates may be required to attend occasional onsite meetings)
Note: This is a W2 contract position – C2C & 3 rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will ensure the integrity and timely recording of Accounts Receivable transactions for Brands in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Accounts Receivable, U.S. Control, Franchise Administration, Legal, Planning). The Accounts Receivable Specialist will;
- Monitor bank lockbox activity and partner with franchisees to ensure complete and accurate sales reporting is loaded into Krise with subsequent payment application being successfully completed in JD Edwards, assisting with sales corrections from franchisees when notified and ensure Krise is updated accordingly
- Respond to Brand and franchisee emails, performing research and resolution to such queries; assist with the creation of one-off fee invoices and credit memos, processing royalty rate changes, ad-hoc write-offs and preparing various franchisee refund requests
- Prepare the daily bank deposit and tracking logs; download the daily banking activity from US bank and Wells Fargo and compare that to what was loaded into JD Edwards, including checking for any returned payments and processing the return through to JD Edwards by voiding the original deposit; enter any ACH/Wire deposits manually into JD Edwards on a timely basis and assist with the application to open receivable invoices
- Monitor and research unapplied cash deposits that are received; work with franchisees, and sometimes U.S. Control, to understand such payments and to obtain the details necessary to ensure proper application; prepare period end unapplied cash detail and routinely reassess throughout period for proper cash application
- Support external/internal audit requests, SOX Peer Reviews, and special projects, as necessary
- Identify process improvement opportunities by working closely with Supervisor/Manger and IT to incorporate best practices and leverage system functionality, including our robotics initiative
Position Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strongcomputer skills, including experience with JDE and Microsoft products (such as Excel Pivot tables, vLookUp, formulas, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, andstrong interpersonal skills
- Experience with a large private or publicly traded Company highly preferred
- Experience in the QSR or retail environment preferred
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, and/or relevant field required
