Adult Autism Waiver Program Monitor Hours

  • Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm

Adult Autism Waiver Program Monitor Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $23.00-26.00 an hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees.

Adult Autism Waiver Program Monitor Responsibilities

  • Reviews, monitors and provides TA to service coordinators, providers, and the participants to assure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluates and assesses the quality of community programs, services, and supports through on-site visits and the review of records in order to assure that individual’s needs are identified and met.
  • Works closely with the clinical team for coordination of responsibilities and to resolve any participant or provider identified clinical deficiencies.
  • Consults and/or provides technical assistance to service coordinators, providers, participants, family members, other departments, and advocacy groups through on-site visits, training, conferences, team meetings and other collaborative activities.
  • Participates in the development of departmental policies by making recommendations when there are policy gaps or inconsistencies, drafting policy, reviewing policy, and/or presenting policy.
  • Collaborates with other DHS offices, other non-DHS offices, legislative offices, and community organizations to communicate the philosophy and initiatives of the Bureau of Supports for Autism and Special Populations.
  • Responsible for oversight of program activities, plan reviews and approvals, administration, and analysis of the AAW program, including on-site reviews, data collection and investigations, monitoring for compliance of both state and federal policies and procedures and preparing reports of the findings.
  • Directs and/or participates in the development, coordination, implementation and validation of corrective action plans to address any problems identified through annual and ongoing monitoring.
  • Applies sound principles in collecting information/data, both routinely and on an ad hoc basis, and interprets and analyzes information to assess compliance with contractual, regulatory, and departmental standards.
  • Assures accurate maintenance of statistical data needed to prepare periodic internal and annual CMS reports.
  • Provides assistance to providers regarding rates and billing.
  • Represents the Bureau in Fair Hearing Activities.
  • Represents the Bureau at meetings, conferences, including committees, work groups, certain advisory boards and councils, and advocacy organizations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Disability/Autism Experience
