Licensed Physical Therapist Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $68.92 per hour
    • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
    • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Licensed Physical Therapist Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
    Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
    • Service area includes all of Washington County, MD
    Home Care Home Base (HCHB) experience preferred

Licensed Physical Therapist Responsibilities

  • Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments based on physician orders and referrals
    • Complete comprehensive assessments using appropriate evaluation tools and procedures
    • Review patient medical history, current diagnosis, precautions, and contraindications
    • Establish measurable treatment goals to maximize patient independence and function
    • Regularly reassess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
    • Communicate patient status and needs with physicians, patients, families, and care teams
    • Consult with medical providers regarding evaluations, progress, and discharge planning
    • Recommend and assist in securing adaptive equipment to improve patient function
    • Maintain and submit all evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation as required
    • Adhere to company policies, HIPAA regulations, compliance programs, and applicable laws
    • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and aides in patient care activities
    • Participate in internal staff development and continuing education to maintain clinical skills

Licensed Physical Therapist Requirements

  • Current and valid Physical Therapist license for the state of Maryland
    • Experience with Home Care Home Base (HCHB) is preferred
    • Strong clinical evaluation and treatment skills
    • Ability to supervise and mentor PTAs and aides
    • Excellent communication and documentation skills
