- Salary Range: $183,100 - $235,000 annually, commensurate based on experience

- Travel: Up to 25% of the time
- SUMMARY: The Director of Ambulatory Operations is responsible for overseeing multiple clinical departments to optimize patient care delivery and ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards. This role leads strategic initiatives, manages performance metrics, drives operational excellence, and partners with clinical and physician leaders to ensure consistent, high-quality care across ambulatory settings. The Director plays a critical role in budget planning, survey readiness, compliance, and long-term strategic development.
Essential Responsibilities

Leads and oversees the operations of multiple ambulatory units by translating business strategies into actionable plans and ensuring alignment with patient needs and organizational objectives

Provides guidance, feedback, and coaching to foster team performance and employee development, and maintains a highly skilled and engaged workforce

Partners with clinical leaders to standardize care delivery, align service line initiatives, and ensure appropriate resource allocation

Drives operational initiatives across clinical areas including Nephrology, Pulmonary, Infectious Disease, Sleep Lab, Respiratory, and Wound Care

Develops and implements emergency preparedness and recovery programs, ensuring staff readiness and departmental compliance

Directs and monitors performance metrics and improvement projects aimed at enhancing service quality, affordability, and operational efficiency

Oversees department budgets and financial performance to ensure alignment with organizational expectations

Ensures continuous compliance with regulatory standards and leads audit readiness efforts

Collaborates with executive leadership to develop long-term strategic plans that support care transformation and growth
Qualifications
- MUST have director level experience running a Medical Center
- Minimum two (2) years of experience managing operational or project budgets.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
- Minimum five (5) years of customer or member/patient service experience.
- Bachelors degree in a business, nursing, health care, or directly related field AND minimum seven (7) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or a directly related field OR Minimum ten (10) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or a directly related field.
