Title: Sr. Application Developer Analyst – Epic

Location: Work from Home

The Sr. Application Developer Analyst will design, code, configure, test, debug, deploy, document, and maintain large and/or complex programs, using a variety of software development toolkits, programming languages, testing/verification applications, and other tools, while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards. They will gather business requirements, translate that information into detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written or configured, and validate that proposed applications align with architectural designs and with business needs. They will drive process leadership for work groups, and product/service delivery strategy and work plans. They may be responsible for the successful completion of projects or phases of projects. Other responsibilities include deep troubleshooting and issue analysis, as well as coding, testing, and implementing software enhancements and/or applying patches. Staff members in this position should be skilled, effective, and self-sufficient in working within a diverse technology portfolio and regularly providing guidance and training to less experienced Application Development Analysts.

Essential Functions:

• Working independently with customers to analyze and compile business requirements for large and/or complex applications
• Using a variety of software development toolkits, programming languages, testing/verification applications, and other tools to research, design, code or configure, test, debug, deploy, document, and maintain customer-focused programming solutions, while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards, aligning with Information Services (IS) architectural design and customer’s business needs.
• Employing a deep technical expertise across multiple disciplines, and a broad understanding of the set of the applications for which the team is responsible, as well as the business processes supported by those applications to drive risk assessment by developing, implementing, and evaluating system design strategies, specifications, and models
• Providing process leadership for work groups and leading in product/service delivery strategy and work plans; owning the resolution for product, implementation, and/or functionality issues, and providing deep troubleshooting support
• Leading projects (or a phase of a project) to successful completion
• Mentoring less senior team members, and being accountable as a role model for customer service excellence
• Providing forward-thinking technical leadership for application development, utilizing an understanding of both the current and future states of the technology; defining and articulating pros, cons, and recommendations to senior leadership

Position Qualifications:

• 5 – 7 years of relevant Epic experience, developing and supporting applications, required
• Epic Certification in Prelude required
• Strong background and experience with Real Time Eligibility (RTE) required
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related field required; Master's Degree preferred
• Experience across the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, coding, testing, and implementation preferred
