Application Technical Specialist I – Smithfield, RI
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
Location Requirement: Onsite role in Smithfield, RI
Job Description:
We are seeking an Application Technical Specialist I to provide call center-based technical support for store locations, vendors, and staff. The specialist will serve as the first level of troubleshooting for store issues, ensuring implementation protocols are met and assisting with equipment troubleshooting and deployment processes .
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbound technical support calls for multiple projects .
- Troubleshoot store-related IT hardware and software issues .
- Ensure compliance with implementation-based protocols .
- Maintain accurate records by updating the database with issue resolutions and technician progress .
- Adapt to shift changes based on project needs .
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of work experience (technical support, IT hardware, or customer service preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED required .
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills .
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access .
- Knowledge of technical terminology is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and occasionally take on leadership responsibilities.

Work Schedule & Onsite Requirement:
- Onsite role in Smithfield, RI.
- Training: 5 days per week onsite (training schedule may vary but will fall within 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM).
- Regular Shift: 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM , based on project needs.
- Must be willing to adjust shift times as needed for different projects.
- Cleared workers may start earlier than the specified date , with new hires beginning on Mondays.
