A-Line Staffing is now hiring Assembly Technicians in Durham NC 27703. The Assembly Technician would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full-time / 40+ hours per week.

Assembly Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $18.20 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Perform a wide range of production processes, including wiring, component installation, cable assembly, and the assembly of complete units.
- Ensure dimensional specifications of assigned products meet product specifications.
- Perform functional testing, quality assurance audits, and test/ calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Assemble units using hand and power tools according to product specifications.
- Support the engineering and design team with the design, test, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics.
- Adjust mechanical assemblies using dial indicator gauges, torque watches, and precision alignment techniques.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work from charts, diagrams, drafts, or written/verbal descriptions
- Ability to understand and interpret MPIs, prints, and technical manuals
- Knowledge of basic hand tool usage
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload
- Must be a team player
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Availability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet deadlines, when necessary
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related industry is preferred
- Previous vocational training is preferred
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems
- Previous assembly line or production experience
