ASSEMBLER | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

  • Location: Sumter SC 29153 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $18.50/hr
  • Required Availability: Full-Time | Night Shift (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
    • Schedule: H Shift – 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off (Includes alternating weekends)

ASSEMBLER | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Assembler will perform a variety of tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices.

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

ASSEMBLER | RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assembly & Fabrication: Perform a combination of tasks to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, test, and package medical devices according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Equipment Operation: Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections on the processing line to ensure all products meet strict quality specifications and guidelines.
  • Documentation: Read, write, and comprehend written specifications to perform basic mathematical calculations and maintain accurate records.
  • Measurement: Use basic measurement tools and instruments, such as microscopes, as required.

ASSEMBLER | REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing or assembly experience (previous manufacturing experience is highly preferred).
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to rotate into different tasks and work flexible or extended hours as needed.
  • Safety: Steel-toe shoes are required for this position.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Environment: Please note that this position is located in the Rubber Department, which is not a climate-controlled environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
