Assembly Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $18.20 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees after 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Assembly Technician Highlights

• This position is a contract-to-hire assignment with the potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Assembly Technician Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of production processes including wiring, component installation, cable assembly, and assembling complete units
• Ensure dimensional specifications of assigned products are correct to product specifications
• Perform functional testing and quality assurance audits
• Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specifications
• Assemble units using hand and power tools according to product specifications
• Support engineers and design teams with design, testing, fabrication, and modification of electro-mechanical systems
• Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics
• Adjust mechanical assemblies using precision alignment techniques as necessary

Assembly Technician Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• Ability to work from charts, diagrams, drafts, or written/verbal descriptions
• Knowledge of how to use basic hand tools
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload
• Must be a team player with multi-tasking and time-management skills
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related industry preferred
• Availability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary

Assembly Technician Preferred Qualifications

• Previous vocational training preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• This position will be subject to varying internal environmental conditions, including changes in temperature and noise typical of a warehouse environment
• Must be able to carry, lift, and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Must have the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and more
• Weekend and overtime work may be required
