ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Sumter, SC 29153 – 100% On-site
- Payrate: $15.30/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Assembly Technician supports the fabrication, assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices in a manufacturing environment. This role follows clearly defined procedures and quality standards and is well suited for candidates with entry-level manufacturing or assembly experience.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assembly, testing, and packaging of medical device components
- Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment
- Conduct quality inspections in accordance with established specifications
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines
- Accurately complete required documentation
- Use basic measurement tools, including microscopes
- Rotate between tasks and responsibilities as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) required
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- 1+ year of manufacturing or assembly experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and rotate into different tasks
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive motions
