Position Summary


Our Client is a growing company looking for a highly talented and passionate Data Project Manager to lead in the development, delivery & product ownership of our enterprise BI & Advanced Analytics Applications to aid in enterprise value creation and support business growth. This position will work closely with business and technology leaders to understand the enterprise objectives and build our capabilities in BI, Reporting & Analytical applications to support Sales, Operations and Shared Services. This role will provide the highest level of technical services to internal and external data partners.

 

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Perform Agile SCRUM Master Role on projects. Lead sprint planning, scrum meetings and prioritization and help the team meet the goals during the sprint.
  • Maintain and build data relationships within internal departments and business partners
  • Define, manage, and track projects from end-to-end working closely with multiple teams
  • Ensure the progress of multiple projects against the schedule. Communicate and track project plans to cross-functional teams ensuring overall success for the project
  • Manage and drive change where needed to core processes
  • Identify and escalate risk, roadblocks, and unresolvable and deliver on the commitments
  • Able to transform data into insight to help improve the value of the business
  • Design Power BI visualizations, reports, and dashboards to tell stories and uncover insights for actionable analytics and mockups
  • Create and maintain documentation to include the design, requirements, and user manuals for the organization
  • Craft training materials and perform training for end users and contribute toward the continuous improvement of our internal data capabilities. Including directing, organizing, and promoting self-service BI strategy within the organization
  • Assist in developing the roadmap for Analytics and Advanced Analytics across the company to enable the business strategy
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence and persuade, build consensus, drive and energize teams
  • Apply superior judgment as it pertains to prioritizing work for yourself and others and escalating roadblocks when necessary

 

General Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Analysis and translation of analytics into practical business outcomes
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience of data, BI/analytics, reporting platforms and data visualization techniques and tools.
  • Significant analytical skills including a passion for data and discovering answers through data manipulation and motivation for exciting results
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Goal of building out storytelling abilities to turn abstract data into compelling business narratives
  • In-depth understanding of project management and/or agile principles and they are applied in the workplace
  • Experience managing and/or tracking analytics or data related projects
  • Able to assist in documenting process and data flows
  • Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities
  • Limited travel may be required

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Advanced Analytics: Optimization, ML and/or Predictive Analytics
  • Experience with modern data/BI architectures
