Behavioral Health Analyst (BCBA Required) – ABA / BHT Utilization Management (Remote)

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $70/hr (W2)

Summary

We are hiring a Behavioral Health Analyst (BCBA required) to support the daily operations of a Behavioral Health Treatment (BHT) services program, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) under the EPSDT benefit. This role is focused on clinical/operational utilization management, review of FBA/ABA assessments and treatment plans, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure medical necessity, best-practice adherence, and regulatory compliance. Ideal for a BCBA who is highly detail-oriented, confident communicating with providers and stakeholders, and comfortable producing clear documentation and reports in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review initial FBA/ABA assessments and ABA treatment plans for adherence to BHT/ABA best-practice guidelines and medical necessity criteria
  • Review diagnostic evaluations/assessments (including those submitted by licensed psychologists) to confirm recommendations for ABA/BHT services
  • Support operational utilization management for members requiring CDE, BHT, and ABA services
  • Assist with provider linkage and care coordination alongside case managers, triage staff, and ABA navigation teams
  • Develop workflows and training protocols supporting day-to-day ABA navigation operations
  • Prepare reports to meet internal, regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements
  • Support quality/compliance initiatives, including review of delegated entity policies and participation in audits as requested
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert for BHT/ABA and behavioral health program operations

Qualifications (Required)

  • BCBA or BCBA-D (required)
  • 3+ years providing BHT/ABA therapy to children diagnosed with ASD
  • Strong working knowledge of ABA/BHT best practices, documentation standards, and medical necessity review
  • Ability to analyze utilization trends/data and communicate findings clearly
  • Strong written/verbal communication and professional provider-facing collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Master’s/Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, MFT, Education, or related field
  • Licensed behavior analyst
  • Experience working with healthcare delivery systems and/or public agencies serving the population
