Behavioral Health Paraprofessional Compensation

• The pay for this position is $17 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Behavioral Health Paraprofessional Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday to Friday between 12pm to 8pm with additional hours on Saturday as needed

Behavioral Health Paraprofessional Responsibilities

• Responsible for coordinating and providing services with agencies and families to meet the needs of the patient according to the treatment plan.
• Manage a caseload of 10-15 members that includes children and adolescents under the age of 17.
• Thorough understanding and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion with the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with all age groups of children and parents, guardians, and family members
• Strong written communications skills for documenting member services in the electronic health record
• Must have excellent initiative, good judgement, and the ability to make timely decisions
• Recognition of priority issues, quick response and execution of plans and processes
• Understand and be supportive of the organization’s stated mission, purpose, and core values

Behavioral Health Paraprofessional Requirements

• Associates Degree in related field to behavioral health
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in Behavioral Health Work
• 1+ year of experience with children and families
• Must be 21+ years of age or older
• Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record for past 39 months with current registration and insurance
• Must maintain current and unrestricted Level 1 Fingerprint Card
• Must obtain CPR/First aid certification within 60 days of hire

Behavioral Health Paraprofessional Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Behavioral Health Technician with children and families
