A-Line Staffing is now hiring Benefits Customer Service Representatives in San Diego, CA. The Benefits Customer Service Representative would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. Full time / 40+ hrs/wk.

Benefits Customer Service Representative Compensation: pay $18.50; benefits after 90 days; 401(k) match after 1 year (eligibility dates)
Benefits Customer Service Representative Highlights:
- Contract role with potential for perm based on attendance/performance/business needs
- No weekends (Monday–Friday only)
- Remote after initial training/onboarding, but must be local to San Diego
- Day 1 onsite to pick up equipment and ensure everything works; may be required onsite for meetings/projects
- Busy season: 40 hours/week + overtime when requested
- Off season: hours may fluctuate 32–40 hours/week based on client need
- Required availability: flexible for an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM–9:00 PM
Benefits Customer Service Representative Responsibilities
- Assist plan participants with enrollment and updates to healthcare and/or pension plans via phone, chat, and email
- Provide compassionate, accurate, timely service while documenting clear call/case notes
- Translate complex benefits/pension terms into simple, actionable explanations
- Follow privacy/security expectations when handling confidential information (HIPAA/data privacy)
- Use online knowledge tools and plan documents to resolve questions and anticipate member needs
Benefits Customer Service Representative Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Attendance mandatory first 90 days
- Customer service experience (call center preferred) and professional communication (written + verbal)
- Comfortable working in a structured schedule with adherence to breaks/lunches
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office; able to work across multiple windows while assisting customers)
- Typing 30 WPM
Benefits Customer Service Representative Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of health & welfare and/or defined benefit pension plans
- Call center experience
- Fluent bilingual Spanish or French
