Bilingual Member Services Representative –English/Cantonese Compensation
- The pay for this position is $22-$33 per hour based on experience.
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Bilingual Member Services Representative –English/Cantonese Highlights
- Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm PST.
- Start date: 04/07/2025
- A bilingual proficiency exam will be administered to ensure the candidate possesses the appropriate skill level to meet requirements. The successful candidate must score 90% or higher.
Bilingual Member Services Representative –English/Cantonese Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for members, providers, and others regarding claims, benefits, authorizations, pharmacy, and eligibility, providing accurate and satisfactory responses.
- Respond to and resolve member service inquiries, including benefits, eligibility, claims, behavioral health, and care coordination, through various communication channels.
- De-escalate dissatisfied customer situations while maintaining professionalism, documenting all interactions accurately in the CRM system, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Guide and educate members on managed health care, assisting with benefit plan options, provider selection, and utilizing online self-service tools.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Grievance and Appeals, Claims, Enrollment, IT, and Pharmacy to provide seamless service and resolution.
- Meet performance goals in compliance, efficiency, call quality, member satisfaction, punctuality, and attendance while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Bilingual Member Services Representative –English/Cantonese Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
- The ability to speak and understand-bilingual: Cantonese/English – Required
- Minimum one year of direct customer service experience. - Required
Bilingual Member Services Representative –English/Cantonese Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Call center experience and managed care experience a plus
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
