Job Description

A-Line Staffing is now hiring CNAs in Selinsgrove, PA. The Certified Nursing Assistant would be working in a Psychiatric Hospital  and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week. Past psych experience not required.

CNA Compensation

  • There are 3 bonuses paid out at 1 month ($100), 3 months ($200) and 6 months ($300) totaling $600! 
  • Base pay: $23-$28 per hour depending on experience, paid biweekly
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
    • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

CNA Highlights

  • This position is a long-term W2 contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Next available orientation date: 06/15/2024
  • The required availability for this position is for 8 hour 2nd or 3rd shifts
    • 2nd Shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm - 1/2 hour unpaid lunch, every other weekend and rotating holidays
    • 3rd Shift - 10:15pm - 6:00am - 1/2 hour unpaid lunch, every other weekend and rotating holidays
  • Please note: This is a Psychiatric Hospital; some residents have several mental illnesses. Due to the nature of the mental illnesses in some situations they may act out or act inappropriately. Training is provided on how to handle these situations, but must be comfortable working with this population. 

CNA Responsibilities

  • This is non-professional nursing work in the care of patients/residents and their quarters in a hospital infirmary and long-term care unit or a domiciliary care unit.
  • Performs non-professional nursing services in the direct and daily care and rehabilitation of ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients/residents and the maintenance of their quarters.
  • Nurse aide duties are of limited scope and are performed in accordance with established rules and regulations and under specific instructions from registered nurses and/or physicians.
  • Participates on the job in service and formal training in nursing care procedures to update and maintain non-professional nursing care expertise.
  • The work includes assisting and encouraging patients/residents to participate in prescribed rehabilitative and recreational activities as individuals and as members of a group.
  • Work is performed under the close supervision of a licensed professional supervisor who reviews work through reports ward inspections and observation but resources are expected to perform the more routine duties independently.

CNA Requirements

  • Six 6 months of experience as an Aide Trainee or one year of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients/residents
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • BLS certification or willing to obtain prior to starting 
  • Resources assigned to these positions in a Long-Term Care Unit must be registered and certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as having met the competency requirements for performing nurse aide work.
  • Basic Computer Skills to include but not limited to Microsoft Office Products.
