We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Tech in Sylacauga, Alabama The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily activities, training employees, overseeing functions and tests (including ABG, POC, Waive testing, etc.), and ensuring quality patient care and safety remain top priorities.
Shift: 7p-7a (7on /7off) or 7p-7a 3 day a week. Pay range from $21-35 depending on experience
Pay: 21.00-35.00 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Treat guests, patients, physicians, and team members with care, courtesy, and respect in accordance with Mission Statement and Guest Excellence Creed.
- Ensure that quality patient care and safety remain a top priority at all times.
- Adhere to attendance and appearance guidelines.
- Direct operations of Respiratory Care, EKG, Sleep Disorder Center, and Laboratory, including coordinating with physicians and other departments to implement new services and changes.
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor performance improvement plans to assure the quality of services and identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Hire, train, supervise, discipline, and evaluate assigned employees.
- Develop and maintain an in-service orientation program for new employees and coordinate educational in-services.
- Work with personnel, physicians, and other departments to resolve problems and develop ideas.
- Participate in patient care to assess patient and/or individual staff knowledge and performance, ensuring the provision of quality care.
- Perform duties of a Respiratory Therapist as necessary.
- Continuously evaluate ways to grow and market services.
Requirements:
Education:
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pulmonary physics, pulmonary pathophysiology, advance respiratory care, mathematics, blood gas chemistry, and pharmacology acquired through completion of a two-year AMA approved program in Respiratory Therapy.
- Must have passed certified (CRT) or registered (RRT) examination.
- Must be licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy.
Experience:
- Three to four years of progressively more responsible related work experience necessary to gain a complete understanding of respiratory therapy (EKG, and Holter monitoring) principles and procedures.
Physical Factors:
- The role requires various physical activities including standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.
- Exposure to blood and/or body fluids or potentially infective materials.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on their assigned unit, including Neonate Infant, Toddler, Preschool, School Age, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients' status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age-specific needs and provide care.
