Location: Akron, OH 44304
Pay Rate: $3,000 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks starting 12/8/2025
Potential to extend up to 1 year
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (3x12s)
Schedule: Saturday/Sunday/Monday
Position Summary
The CT Technologist operates Computerized Tomography and Radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans and radiographs under indirect supervision. Responsibilities include proper processing of patient records, collaborating with Radiologists to evaluate imaging, and obtaining additional views as needed. This role also assists with invasive procedures and performs additional duties aligned with training and skill level.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans and X-rays (primarily CT; some X-ray required).
- Operate Canon CT and Rad X-ray equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of all patient imaging and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Radiologists to evaluate images and obtain additional imaging as requested.
- Assist during invasive procedures within scope of training.
- Position, lift, and transfer patients safely; adjust devices and administer contrast injections.
- Maintain a high level of communication with patients, physicians, and staff.
- Utilize computer systems and filing systems to manage patient records.
- Initiate CPR when required (CPR certification required).
- Demonstrate sensitivity to population-specific needs with dignity and respect.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Must hold an active Ohio Radiographer License.
Experience:
- 1 year of Radiology Technology experience preferred.
- CT Registry preferred.
- Level I Trauma experience strongly desired.
Skills & Competencies:
- Manual dexterity to operate radiology equipment, properly position patients, and administer IV contrast.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs occasionally, 25–50 lbs frequently, and 10–20 lbs continuously.
- Ability to perform additional radiology procedures after training.
Additional Details
- Weekend position: Saturday/Sunday/Monday, 6:00 PM–7:00 AM.
- Will support both CT and X-ray operations as needed.
- Trauma Level I background highly preferred.
