Job Description
- Independently performs computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
- Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.
- Demonstrates proper technique in venipuncture and use of power injector according to set protocols.
- Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders/department policy and assesses patients for potential risk factors.
- Ensures all exams are properly coded and tracked, and all charges are adequately entered.
- Communicates instructions to patients clearly to help allay fears and solicit cooperation.
- Schedule includes mixed daylight and evening shifts: 3 (12-hour) shifts per week, 7a-7p or 11a-11p.
- Every other weekend or every third weekend coverage based upon needs.
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
- CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired.
- ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), Basic Life Support (BLS).
