Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist | Details and Compensation:

• Location: Remote
• Payrate: $20/hr
• Required Availability: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST (September Start Date)

Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist | Summary and Highlights:

The Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist will help to connect individuals with the life-changing therapies they need. As a Reimbursement Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in guiding patients through the benefits investigation process, handling inquiries, and ensuring smooth, supportive access to medications and services.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist | Responsibilities:

• Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls to provide one-call resolution
• Accurately process referrals and applications, updating records as needed
• Provide timely and empathetic support for patient/physician inquiries
• Enter detailed documentation into proprietary systems while actively engaging on calls
• Conduct follow-ups and ensure account progression through all stages of reimbursement
• Educate and guide patients with clarity and compassion, ensuring a smooth journey through healthcare coverage barriers
• Report adverse events in accordance with compliance guidelines

Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist | Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare support setting required
• Strong verbal communication skills and a passion for problem-solving
• Prior knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance policies required
• Comfortable working in a call center or remote service environment
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and empathy
