Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II Compensation
• The pay for this position is $40.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II Highlights
• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (4x10s), with weekend and holiday call rotation
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including scrubbing, table setup, and monitoring
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, ECG interpretation, and lethal arrhythmias
• Calculate hemodynamic parameters, monitor pressure waveforms, and alert physicians to abnormalities
• Assist in structural heart, peripheral diagnostic interventions, and EP procedures
• Operate extraction devices and support imaging using intravascular ultrasound and Doppler technologies
• Maintain sterile technique, lift/push patients or equipment as needed, and work collaboratively within a 4-person team
• Train and orient staff, support special projects, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Use Merge Hemo and Merge Cardio systems to document events and procedures
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Sciences program (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience scrubbing in a Cath Lab
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with structural heart, electrophysiology (EP), or interventional radiology (IR)
• Strong understanding of cardiac medications and pathologies
• Team-first mentality and flexibility to take call as scheduled
