Job Description

Cardiovascular Technician (EP Lab / Cath Lab) — Grand Rapids, MI (On-site)
Schedule: 4x10s | 8:00 AM–6:30 PM | 40 hrs/week | No weekends | No on-call

Hiring a Cardiovascular Technician to support Electrophysiology (EP) and invasive cardiology procedures in a hospital procedural environment. The Cardiovascular Technician will scrub and assist with device implants and ablation cases, maintain sterile technique, monitor and document hemodynamics, and support procedure room readiness and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Scrub EP/device and invasive cardiology procedures; maintain sterile field and surgical counts
  • Support device implants: pacemakers, ICDs, BiV devices, subcutaneous ICDs, Micra
  • Support ablation cases: AFib, Aflutter, VT, PVC, AV node, SVC; assist with LAAO cases and pocket closure
  • Capture/record hemodynamic waveforms; perform cardiac calculations and document procedures
  • Prepare case tables with equipment, sterile supplies, instruments, labels, and solutions/medications
  • Circulate as needed (equipment retrieval, ACT/oximetry support) and participate in safety initiatives
  • Provide support with advanced tools/technologies as applicable: IVUS, FFR, OCT, ICE, IABP, Impella, atherectomy, laser, 3D mapping, lead extraction, structural heart support

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant clinical experience in electrophysiology or invasive cardiology procedures
  • Education: Cardiovascular Technologist Program, Radiology Technologist Program, or Bachelor’s in Health Science (or equivalent)
  • Required certifications: ARRT (R) and RCIS or RCES; BLS and ACLS (AHA/ARC per policy)
  • Strong EP lab scrubbing skills, sterile technique, and procedure documentation experience
