Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This role requires expertise in a variety of cardiovascular procedures, including diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and peripheral procedures.
Pay Rate
$55-$63/hour
Schedule
3 days a week 8am-8:30pm
1 weeknight per week on call (7:30pm-7am)
1 weekend per month on call
Contract role with potential to extend and become permeant employee!
Duties:
Assists physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures as indicated.
Able to scrub in diagnostic, cardiac interventional and peripheral procedures.
Cares for adult and geriatric patients during procedures.
Prepares patients for examinations.
Functions in all roles: as a case recorder, cardiac circulator and scrub assistant.
Reports clinical changes in patient condition to the RN or physician.
May perform point of care testing per CLIA guidelines.
Appropriately documents all procedures by including labeling and identifying studies, documenting procedure related information in the recording system/medical record and entering charges.
Performs related duties such as reporting equipment malfunctions, assisting others, special assignments, cleans work area and replenishes supplies. .
Maintain all standards of performance with sterile procedures and infection prevention.
Skills:
Demonstrated expertise in CVT technical skill, knowledge of catheters, wires, stent and supplies
Minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiac Invasive Technologist preferred with diagnostic and cardiac and peripheral interventional procedures.
Must be able to take STEMI on call
Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology Licensure /
Certifications: RCIS preferred. BLS required and ACLS certification preferred
