Job Description:

A-Line Staffing is looking for a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to support a clinical team in New Braunfels, TX. This role involves direct patient care, assisting with medical exams and procedures, and handling administrative duties. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in a clinic setting, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care.

Certified Medical Assistant Schedule & Location:

• Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM 
• New Braunfels, TX 78130, United States

Certified Medical Assistant Salary/Wage:

• $17 - $20/hr (depending on experience and qualifications)

Certified Medical Assistant Duties:

• Escort patients to/from exam rooms, record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and any medication changes.
• Obtain necessary patient records prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms, order supplies as needed, and maintain disinfection protocols.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures and administer injections (as delegated by RN or physician).
• Answer patient calls, manage referrals, and make prescription calls as directed by physicians and RNs.
• Perform administrative tasks such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, and reception duties.
• Enter orders under the direction of a physician or provider.

Certified Medical Assistant Required Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certification (to be completed within 3 months of hire).

Certified Medical Assistant Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move medical equipment and supplies.
• Capability to perform administrative duties, including filing, typing, and handling paperwork.

Certified Medical Assistant Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
