Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location: West Bloomfield Township MI 48322

Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (8hour shifts)

Operating Hours: 8am - 7pm
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Scheduled Pay: Bi-Weekly

Job Type: Full Time
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Short term disability after 90 days

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Responsibilities

  • Take and record patient vital signs

  • Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures

  • Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures

  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens

  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider

  • Perform EKGs, wound care, and other clinical tasks as needed

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records

  • Greet patients and check them in for appointments

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments

  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries

  • Update and maintain electronic health records

  • Process insurance forms and billing information

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment

  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and confidentiality requirements

  • Assist with inventory management and ordering medical supplies

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth office operations

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Requirements:

  • Graduated from a Certified Medical Assistant Program
  • Current / Active state certification as a CMA
  • 1 year experience working as a CMA
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Injection/administering medication experience required
  • Epic experience highly preferred
