Temporary Medical Assistant (MA) - Radiation Department (2-Month Assignment)
A-Line Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent for a 2-month assignment in the Radiation Department. Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to support our Radiation Department on a temporary assignment for a period of two months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians, administering injections, and assisting with patient assessments and procedures. This role involves a mix of clinical and administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the department.

Job Schedule & Location:
  • Schedule: Full-time, temporary (2-month assignment)
  • Location: Beaumont, TX 77702, United States

Salary/Wage:
  • Salary: $18.50/hr

Duties:
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms.
  • Record patient data (vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes) prior to each physician visit.
  • Obtain and prepare necessary patient records for physician review.
  • Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms, ensuring necessary supplies are available.
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
  • Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by RN or physician.
  • Maintain exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
  • Answer patient calls, provide referrals, and direct calls to appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Manage prescription phone-ins and other patient-related calls as directed.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as chart preparation, filing, faxing, and reception duties.
  • Inform physicians about patient reschedules or no-shows.
  • Enter orders under the supervision and direction of a provider.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CMA or equivalent certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • 1-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Ability to work under supervision and handle clinical and administrative tasks efficiently.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry light to moderate weights (e.g., medical supplies, patient records).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

Education:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
