Job Description:
A Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing assistance to physicians, preparing exam rooms, recording patient data, and handling various administrative duties. Duties include escorting patients to and from exam rooms, taking vital signs, ensuring proper patient records, assisting with exams and procedures, and completing clerical tasks as needed.


Certified Medical Assistant Schedule & Location:

  • Full-time 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Location: New Braunfels, TX 78130, United States

Certified Medical Assistant Salary/Wage:

  • $17.50 per hour

Certified Medical Assistant Duties:

  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as necessary.
  • Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes prior to each physician visit.
  • Obtain necessary patient records required by the physician before treatment or procedures.
  • Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms, ordering supplies as needed.
  • Assist with exams and procedures as requested.
  • Perform administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, chart prep, scheduling, and reception duties.

Certified Medical Assistant Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Current and active Certified Medical Assistant certification.
  • BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Some state regulations may require specific certifications to work as a Medical Assistant.

Certified Medical Assistant Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, move, and assist patients as required.
  • Ability to work in a clinical setting, assisting with various tasks as needed.

Certified Medical Assistant Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program strongly preferred.
