Certified Medical Assistant Compensation

• The pay for this position is $20 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Certified Medical Assistant Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate
• Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes
• Answers patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist
• Performs other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing faxing, chart preparation, reception, etc, as requested by supervisor or physician

Certified Medical Assistant Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years related experience. Preferably in a Oncology
• Current and Unrestricted Medical Assistant Certification (NRCMA, CCMA, etc)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experienced in properly handling confidential and sensitive information, knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations
• Experience with basic desktop software, medical practice management, and electronic medical records systems
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Certified Medical Assistant Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a Oncology setting
