Job Description

MEDICAL ASSISTANT JOB OVERVIEW:

  • Assist the family medicine clinic staff with injections, vital signs, prepping patients for exams procedures.
  • Schedule patient appointments, inventory, rooming patients, and charting.
  • Check vital signs, assist doctor with procedures, obtain medical/family history, and chief complaints; phlebotomy.
  • Answer phone calls and schedule patient appointments.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered or Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred OR 3+ years of experience as a MA in an Family Medicine clinic required.
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years will be considered.
  • Strong Phlebotomy experience required.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Rotating Schedule: Hours & shifts vary. Currently office hours: Mon & Tues 7am-8pm Wed & Thurs 7am - 5pm and Fri 7am - 4pm Open every other Sat: 7am - 11am. Employees rotate shifts working 8.5 hour days where they will open on some days and close on others. One late night shift is required from 11:30am until 8pm.
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance.
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
  • The compensation for this role is $19 per hour, paid bi -weekly.
