Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team. Under direct supervision, you will support physicians and clinicians with patient care and administrative tasks while helping ensure efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Escort patients to exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment areas
- Record patient information including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updates
- Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms; order supplies as needed
- Assist physicians with exams and procedures
- Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as directed
- Maintain proper cleaning and disinfection protocols in exam/treatment rooms
- Answer patient calls and direct them appropriately
- Call in prescriptions and communicate patient needs as directed by providers
- Manage patient scheduling updates, including reschedules and no-shows
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, faxing, chart prep, and reception support
- Enter orders under provider supervision as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or CCMA) required
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Minimum of 2 years of medical assistant experience
- Current BCLS certification
