About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Pharmacy Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. If you enjoy staying organized, maintaining smooth workflow, and playing a key part in ensuring patients receive the medications they depend on, this position is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Work within our automated refill center to accurately and efficiently process prescription orders.
- Prepare, package, and distribute medications under the guidance of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Maintain a steady, consistent workflow to support daily production goals in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.
- Ensure accuracy and quality while performing hands-on, detail-focused tasks.
- Manually fill prescription vials with the correct tablets or capsules by following computer-generated instructions.
- Locate and verify medications on labeled shelves, confirming size, strength, and quantity.
- Use basic math skills to count or calculate the correct number of units needed per prescription.
- Requires audits of cell inventory, counting product at primary and secondary bin locations.
- Assists with research and identification of root cause of discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare cold chain and specialty prescriptions following special requirements for handling and packing.
- Assists with packing and shipping of prescriptions.
- Understands and abides by federal and state HIPAA laws as well as pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance on all cells/cassettes as needed. Includes dissembling of automated cells, replacing broken or missing parts, and performing calibration audits

Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday shift. Sundays are 8:30AM-5PM and the rest of the week remains at 1:30-10PM

Requirements:
- Clear, Active Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the California State Board of Pharmacy
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification by PTCB or EXCPT
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician - preferably in a mail order setting.
- Demonstrate problem resolution skills: ability to recognize, address and escalate issues to management.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical reasoning to either count or calculate appropriate number of units needed to fill prescriptions.
Physical Demands:
- Lift up to 30lbs.
- Stand/walk continuously for 8+ hours.
- Engage in bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Maintain visual acuity for screens and scanners.
- Work in a comfortable, climate-controlled environment.
