Certified Pharmacy Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $21.00/hr
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Certified Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

 Customer Service & Support:

• Greet patients and clients with a friendly attitude, assisting with prescriptions, transfers, and grievances.
• Handle incoming calls, provide problem-solving, and offer a calming influence to upset patients.
• Adapt to various situations with flexibility, supporting a smooth pharmacy operation.

 Communication & Professionalism:

• Demonstrate superior telephone communication and interpersonal skills.
• Provide outstanding customer service, proactively solving issues related to services from AHF.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Ensure a neat and clean personal appearance and work environment.
• Assist in training new employees on workflow and services.

Certified Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician license or certification (state-specific if required).
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (current or obtain within 180 days of employment).
• Minimum of three (3) years of recent pharmacy technician experience or equivalent.
• Experience with data input and pharmacy systems, including typing skills and familiarity with Windows PC applications.
• Intermediate skills in calculating medication amounts, dispensing and billing cycles, discounts, volume, percentages, and prescription charges.
• Reasoning skills to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions in written, oral, or diagram formats.
• Must demonstrate empathy with patients through tone, language, and counseling.
