Certified Pharmacy Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $21.00/hr
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Certified Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
Customer Service & Support:
- Greet patients and clients with a friendly attitude, assisting with prescriptions, transfers, and grievances.
- Handle incoming calls, provide problem-solving, and offer a calming influence to upset patients.
- Adapt to various situations with flexibility, supporting a smooth pharmacy operation.
Communication & Professionalism:
- Demonstrate superior telephone communication and interpersonal skills.
- Provide outstanding customer service, proactively solving issues related to services from AHF.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
- Ensure a neat and clean personal appearance and work environment.
- Assist in training new employees on workflow and services.
Job Requirements
Certified Pharmacy Technician Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Current Pharmacy Technician license or certification (state-specific if required).
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (current or obtain within 180 days of employment).
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent pharmacy technician experience or equivalent.
- Experience with data input and pharmacy systems, including typing skills and familiarity with Windows PC applications.
- Intermediate skills in calculating medication amounts, dispensing and billing cycles, discounts, volume, percentages, and prescription charges.
- Reasoning skills to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions in written, oral, or diagram formats.
- Must demonstrate empathy with patients through tone, language, and counseling.
