Job Description:
The resource is responsible for the care and treatment of mentally ill patients in designated service areas. This role includes professional responsibility for diagnosis, determining treatment methods, leadership in implementing treatment plans, and discharge planning. The work is performed under the general direction of a Physician/Staff Psychiatrist or another administrative supervisor for both clinical and administrative issues. The role is reviewed for conformance to current psychiatric nursing and medical principles and techniques through staff conferences, case reports, observation, performance evaluations, and performance improvement activities.

Job Name Schedule & Location:

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with a 30-minute lunch)
• Location: Torrance, PA 15779, United States

Job Name Salary/Wage:

• $40.00 - $48.00 per hour

Job Name Duties:

• Care and treatment of mentally ill patients in designated service areas
• Professional responsibility for diagnosis and treatment methods
• Leadership in the implementation of treatment plans and discharge planning
• Perform CPR and Psychological Evaluations
• Interpret lab values, diagnostic tests, and consultant recommendations
• Respond to overhead pages
• Communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal)
• Understand and apply principles of human physiology

Job Name Required Qualification:

• Possession of a valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner issued by the PA State Board of Nursing
• Valid certification in the adult psych/MH specialty area as issued by the PA State Board of Nursing
• Ability to perform CPR and Psychological Evaluations
• Ability to interpret lab values, diagnostic tests, and consultant recommendations
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communication)

Job Name Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform CPR
• Ability to respond to overhead pages in a timely manner

Job Name Education:

• Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and additional certification in the adult psych/MH specialty area
