Job Description
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of activities in support of compliance program initiatives, with a focus on investigations, reporting, auditing, and monitoring. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact the organization. The Compliance Analyst will also develop and implement internal controls designed to promote adherence to these regulations, including federal, state, and private health plans. The role involves proactively staying informed about the latest developments in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, and maintaining certification or licensure, integrating this knowledge into current work practices.
Compliance Analyst Salary/Wage
- Hourly Range: $25.90 - $44.57
- Salary Range: $53,872 - $92,705.60
Compliance Analyst Schedule & Location
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Location: Dallas, TX 75235, United States
- Position Type: Direct Hire/Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Perform compliance program activities, focusing on investigations, reporting, and audits.
- Research regulatory requirements and guidance.
- Prepare written communications, assessment tools, and formal reports.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize information for investigative processes and audits.
- Schedule compliance-related meetings and organize department materials.
- Monitor timelines, resources, milestones, and corrective action plans.
- Assist in compliance risk assessments and annual work plan development.
- Support responses to third-party inquiries, including government agencies.
- Prepare reports for compliance committees and collaborate inter/intra-departmentally.
Compliance Analyst Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare compliance, preferably in a large healthcare organization.
- Experience with compliance investigations, audits, monitoring activities, corrective action plans, and data analysis.
- Certification in a healthcare compliance-related specialty is required (e.g., CHC, CCEP, CHPC, CHRC, CPCO, CPC, COC, CIC, CCS). Certification must be obtained within 18 months if not currently held.
Compliance Analyst Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform desk work and attend meetings.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Compliance Analyst Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
