Job Description
Bachelor's degree, NACE certification preferred but not required.
- Review pipeline safety compliance and corrosion control records and procedures as part of the Task-Equipment Matrix (TEMS) process for the pipeline integrity department.
- The TEMS process is designed to determine all facilities along the pipeline and facilities and then verify that the appropriate tasks, tests, surveys and inspections are in place and being performed as required by federal pipeline safety regulations.
- Review records in preparation for Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) audits and inspections.
- The process requires use of company systems and data bases including the corrosion control database, the maintenance control system, meter and regulator relief sizing, pipe excavation and inspection data bases, P8 electronic records system, engineering records, pipeline map server, etc.
- Communication with field operations and headquarters staff will be required.
- Other research and analytical duties as assigned by pipeline safety.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, engineering technology or other technical field and National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) certification preferred but not required.
- Five or more years of related experience preferred; must be familiar with basic operating principles of natural gas transmission facilities; strong computer skills and prior experience in corrosion control systems; excellent communications skills.
- Training on company applications, programs and pipeline safety compliance audit process to be provided. .
