Compounding Pharmacy Technician Compensation
- The pay for this position is $24.45 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Compounding Pharmacy Technician Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM, or 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Compounding Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities
- Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and prepare IVs
- Collaborates with the Billing Supervisor to enter data into the computer system for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement
- Assists in prepackaging medications for dispensing according to standards and government regulations
- Supports the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review, packaging medication post RPh final review, and coordinating accurate and timely delivery
- Maintains good inventory practices, including receiving and rotating medications, posting lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting in physical inventory
- Helps maintain a clean and safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness
Compounding Pharmacy Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Compounding pharmacy experience required
- Must have an active Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician License
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Compounding Pharmacy Technician Preferred Qualifications
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred but not required
- Experience in a long-term care or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus
