Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Compensation

• The pay for this position is $40 per hour.
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.
• Schedule: Part-time (16 hours guaranteed), working two days per week with every other weekend required. Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Available days: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities

• Contributes to the assessment of the health status of patients.
• Participates in the development and modification of patients' care plans.
• Performs delegated tasks, activities, and functions consistent with prior educational preparation and scope of practice.
• Provides direct basic care to multiple patients within the facility's healthcare program.
• Implements patient education based on established teaching plans.
• Utilizes problem-solving approaches for decision-making.
• Monitors offsite and onsite scheduling, consult processes, and ensures patient follow-up care.
• Participates in quality improvement, patient care committee meetings, and other site nursing initiatives.
• Performs other nursing duties as assigned.

Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• At least 1 year of LPN experience.
• Active LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Active CPR certification.
• Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing LPN practice.
• Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies as assigned.
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days.

Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a correctional healthcare setting.
