Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse Compensation

• The pay for this position is $26.50 per hour.

• Benefits are available to employees after 90 days of employment.

• A 401(k) with a company match is available for employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with the potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

• The required availability for this position is Friday and Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

• Must adhere to strict facility rules, including no personal cell phones, no tobacco or vape products, and bringing food/drinks in clear containers.

Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care within the scope of practice as directed by a registered nurse or licensed physician.

• Perform tasks such as administering medications, applying sterile dressings, collecting specimens, and assisting with physical exams.

• Monitor and document patient conditions, including reactions to medications and treatments.

• Provide general nursing care and direct assistance with daily living activities, such as grooming, hygiene, and repositioning patients.

• Maintain medication accountability records and assist in maintaining medical equipment and supply inventory.

• Participate in team meetings, in-service training programs, and interdisciplinary team discussions.

• Provide guidance and training to lower-level staff in providing unskilled nursing care.

• Ensure a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning and restocking medication carts and supplies.

Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in the state of Ohio.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certifications.

• Must pass a TB test and HireRight drug screen within 48 hours of start.

• Must be able to clear a metal detector upon entry and comply with facility security policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a correctional or clinical setting.

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and general hospital practices.
