Location: Dallas PA 18612
Hours Available: 6:00am-6:30 pm or 6:30 pm-6:30 am  / every other weekend 
Pay: $53.00 - $55.00 per hour
Scheduled Pay: Weekly

RN Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to students hospitalized in student health services unit, or to inmates, juvenile offenders, or consumers housed in state-owned operated facility or staff, observes, assesses and records symptoms, reactions and progress of infirmary patients or clinic out-patients, makes nursing rounds, takes and records vitals, prepares and administers prescribed medications and ordered treatment plans or immunizations, monitors restrained patients on timely basis and provides immediate medical attention to emergencies.
• Participates in staff development and education, reviews care plans written by staff and trains and orients new employee.
• Performs specialized procedures.
• Organizes and oversees code blue team
• Directs health care staff assigned to area; acts as lead worker in charge of one assigned shift in absence of nurse 2 employee' assists physician in giving diagnostic health evaluations to students.
• Performs clerical tasks
• Arranges for out-patient clinic appointments; arranges for medical examinations to be done by school physician; arranges for new and refilled prescriptions ordered by physicians through local pharmacy; performs administrative tasks and serves as liaison with others in organization and conducts or attends meetings; serves as instructor on occasion; serves as member or leader of problem solving teams or groups.

 Registered Nurse Requirements

• Associates of Science in nursing or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Active Unencumbered Registered Nurse state PA license
• 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse
• Behavioral Health or Corrections experience highly preferred
