Job Title: Corrections RN

Pay: $47-$50 an hr | Bi-weekly

Job Type:

• Onsite in Columbia Station OH 44028

Shift Options:

• Must be available any shift/hours- as they can change to earlier or later as needed. Must be available all days of the week, will be working 40 hours per week
  Candidate must be available to start and have no upcoming scheduling issues coming up (vacations, appointments, school, etc) - be on time to work each day and on the floor at the time their schedule starts - example - if shift starts at 7am - they must be on the floor at 7am ready to work (not coming thru security at 7am).

Corrections RN Overview:

• Provides professional nursing care in student health services and/or state-operated facilities, including correctional and institutional settings. Responsible for direct patient care, emergency response, medication administration, and coordination of healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students, inmates, or residents in clinical or infirmary settings
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions; conduct nursing rounds and record vital signs
• Administer medications, immunizations, and prescribed treatments
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid; coordinate hospital transfers and physician referrals
• Monitor restrained or isolated patients according to required safety intervals
• Perform specialized nursing procedures as assigned (e.g., IV therapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, catheterization, CPR, phlebotomy)
• Maintain accurate medical records, reports, medication logs, and controlled-drug inventories
• Coordinate appointments, medical exams, and prescriptions
• Supervise or lead assigned staff when required; participate in training and staff development
• Serve as shift lead and assist physicians with diagnostic evaluations as needed

Corrections RN Qualifications:

• Current Ohio licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), per Ohio Board of Nursing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of professional nursing practices and applicable state and federal regulations
• Skill in using standard medical equipment
• Ability to document accurately, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively in emergency situations
